Seattle didn't exactly win in exciting fashion last night but the Mariners will take it. Chris Woodward notched a bloop RBI single that fell right in front of an outstretched Dustin Pedroia and David Aardsma closed out the ninth for the Mariners beating the Red Sox, 3-2. Jason Varitek had a two-run homer in the second inning for Boston's only runs. Brad Penny was dealt a no decision allowing six hits over six innings, two runs, one walk and six strikeouts. Goat of the Game - Takashi Saito Wasn't exactly clutch in the ninth inning. Next Game - 7/05 vs. Seattle Mariners - Brandon Morrow/Jon Lester Lester has to stop the sweep with the Yankees creeping up in the A.L. East standings
