SF Giants Rumors, No On Ellis, Giants Looking For A Run Producer

Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says team insiders say they are not seriously pursuing A’s second baseman Mark Ellis. The reasons are money left on his contract, Mike Fontenot‘s return and their concentration on finding a run producer (let’s hope this happens). I think the Giants are fine at second base with the guys they already have on the team. They can go with the hot bat for the majority of the playing time at second.
