Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle says the San Francisco Giants are being extremely conservative with Ryan Vogelsong in his return from a strained back. Bruce Bochy said Vogelsong will get three spring starts, and the Giants are preparing to skip his first regular-season spot in the rotation if necessary. The good news is Eric Surkamp pitched three great innings against Seattle on Sunday. Surkamp is out to prove that he should be the first guy in line if the Giants need a spot start or to replace someone in the rotation.Vogelsong feels he’s ready after his last bullpen session on Sunday.“I think they just want to make sure that my stamina is OK,” Vogelsong said. “But everything feels good. My back feels good and I didn’t get tired. Everything is good.”What’s your thoughts on Vogelsong being ready and Surkamp being ready to step in?~King of Cali (Steven)SF Giants Rumors Facebook@SFGiants_Rumors Technorati Tags: Bruce Bochy, Eric Surkamp, Giants Hot Stove, Giants Trade Ru...
