Found July 25, 2013 on Redlegs Review:
"I'm a dbag." The shame on Braun is obvious. So it's been a few days since it was announced that Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers would be suspended for the remainder of the 2013 season, totaling up to 65 games, without pay. Unless you've been hiding in a cave out in the wilderness you know it's because he did in fact use performance-enhancing drugs and Major League Baseball apparently had a ton of evidence against him resulting from all of this Biogenesis mess. He finally admitted to it and basically cut a deal with MLB, resulting in his suspension. Hooray! Victory, right? Not so much. Braun is a stain on baseball, sports, and mankind in general and he's not the only one; he's just the latest one. You may remember a few years ago when he tested positive, was suspended 50 games, and then won an appeal on a "handling technicality" which overturned his suspension. He then proceeded to verbally attack the collector and tried to make ...

A Brewers fan who wore a modified Ryan Braun shirt critical of the suspended player to Miller Park was asked to either remove the shirt of leave by stadium personnel.

My Take: A Milwaukee Fan on Ryan Braun

My thoughts on Braun: A Brewers Fan [Editors Note: We wrote a bit about Braun both before the suspension and then also after.  Today, we get to see a Brewers' fan's perception of the situation.  We'd like to thank Joshua T. Foley for sharing this thoughts with us and hope you find it to be as thought-provoking and insightful as we did as you formulate your own opinion...

Braun loses endorsement deal with Kwik Trip

A chain of convenience stores is cutting ties with Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun in the wake of his season-ending suspension. Gary Gonczy, director of marketing and advertising for Kwik Trip, Inc., says the company will no longer use Braun as a spokesman. He says in an email Tuesday that the company is ending a promotional contest where the winner got to have lunch with Braun...

Brewers Fan Wearing ‘Ryan Fraud’ T-Shirt Asked to Leave Game by Security

Ryan Braun‘s name and reputation is getting tarnished and ridiculed in light of his suspension on Tuesday, but at least one Miller Park security member doesn’t find any of it funny. On Wednesday night, the ridiculing continued when Brewers fan Karen Eidem went to the team’s home game wearing her Braun jersey shirt, but with a few minor amendments. She added the letters ...

Brewers say Ryan Braun merchandise sales have increased since suspension

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun has let an entire fan base down in 2013, effectively erasing any remaining hope the team may have had of making the playoffs after admitting to using performance-enhancing drugs and accepting a suspension for the rest of the season. But despite losing an endorsement deal and $3.8 million in salary, [...]

Kemp 'disappointed' in Braun; doesn't want MVP

TORONTO Matt Kemp used to call Ryan Braun his friend. He supported Braun when Braun successfully overturned a 2011 positive drug test. He never complained about how Braun beat him out for the National MVP award that year. Tuesday, Kemp said he felt let down by the Milwaukee Brewers outfielder, who accepted a 65-game suspension the previous day for violating baseball's drug...

Braun's teammates back suspension?

Brewers teammates reportedly are happy that Ryan Braun was suspended for the rest of the 2013 season.

Ryan Braun: Is it time for Milwaukee Brewers to part ways with him?

After a year and a half, the Ryan Braun debacle has finally been settled, with the Brewers slugger-turned-pariah suspended for the final 65 games of the 2013 season. It’s a slap on Braun’s bum thumb. The Brewers are in last place and Braun had missed much of the last few weeks, and was far less than 100 percent when in the lineup. Had Braun somehow escaped discipline for the...

Matt Kemp Believes Ryan Braun Should Be Stripped of 2011 MVP Award, But Doesn’t Think It Should Be Given to Him

In 2011, recently suspended Ryan Braun won the National League Most Valuable Player award. Dodgers slugger, Matt Kemp, finished second in the voting, and after the news that broke Monday, he now believes the Brewers outfielder should be stripped of that honor. “Do I feel like it should be stripped? I mean, yeah, I do,” Kemp told MLB.com’s Ken Gurnick. “I feel like it should...

Shocked and disappointed Aaron Rodgers 'lied to' by Ryan Braun

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers was lied to by Ryan Braun and the Green Bay Packers quarterback isn't happy about it. Speaking publicly about Braun's 65-game suspension from Major League Baseball for the first time Friday afternoon, Rodgers was forthright with his feelings about the person he had considered a good friend. "I was shocked, I really was, just like I know...

Aaron Rodgers on Ryan Braun: ‘It doesn’t feel great being lied to’

Aside from Ryan Braun himself, there were very few people who looked more idiotic than Aaron Rodgers when it was announced the the Milwaukee Brewers slugger has been suspended on Monday. Rodgers, who became very good friends with Braun due to their similar ages and career paths, was extremely vocal in defending Braun back in [...]

Aaron Rodgers Bet On Ryan Braun’s Innocence

Public figures should be careful who they rally around. Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, considers Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun his friend.  They run a successful restaurant in Wisconsin together, 8-twelve MVP Bar and Grill.  They are possibly the most recognizable sports figures in their home state. So, when Ryan Braun was accused of using...

The First Shoe

Major League Baseball finally acted. Commissioner Bud Selig swung hard and made sure he didn’t miss. People wanted to act irrationally and ban players linked to Biogenesis for life without knowing the full extent of the information. Major League Baseball has played the case perfectly so far. Maybe Ryan Braun is getting a light suspension at 65 games, especially on a team with no...

MLB Trade Deadline

First off, screw you Ryan Braun.  I hope your balls fall off.  Braun tried so hard to tell us all he was innocent, but of course he wasn't.  Meanwhile, children in Milwaukee are sad and Braun goes right back to his $100MM contract next season.  At least it happened to Wisconsin.  If someone deserves this, it's them.  I enjoy that MLBers like Skip Schumaker and Jesse...
