"Dahling, look at my faaabulous ring!" , originally uploaded by Harpo42
Different players obviously are overcome with different emotions when presented with a World Championship ring. Jamie Moyer, for instance, who has been trying to obtain a ring for almost as long as many of you have been alive was choked up upon be presented with the 103 diamonds. Shane Victorino, who was lucky enough to win a ring early in his career, reacted a bit differently.
In a great piece in the Daily News, which gives a long run down of all of yesterday's ring ceremony events, Shane says the ring has inspired him to add some more bling to accompany his Ed Hardy gear.
"It's great," centerfielder Shane Victorino said. "It's just the topping on the cake." Looking down at his ring with the lights from the television cameras sparkling off the diamonds, he added with a grin: "It makes me want to go out and buy a lot of jewelry."I believe young Shane meant icing on the cake. WFC. No questions asked.
