An interesting visitor was spotted Tuesday night among the traditional kayaks, canoes and boats that routinely dot McCovey Cove outside AT&T Park during San Francisco Giants games: A shark.

That’s right, during Tuesday’s 8-1 loss to the Kansas City Royals, an evidently Giants-loving shark was captured on camera swimming around the hallowed waters just beyond the outer reaches of the iconic ballpark.

Before any concern for potential harm for those sharing the waters with the shark takes hold, let it be known that said species of fish was a leopard shark, which is not considered a threat to humans. So that’s a big relief.

Although it goes without saying that adding the ominous “Jaws” theme music to the video would have created a sense of dread, albeit an unrealistic one.
