Karstens last night. This figures to impact their interest in Marcum.
Pittsburgh is also continuing negotiations with free agent right-hander
Marcum posted an ERA and WHIP of 3.70 and 1.266 with 7.9
strikeouts and 3.0 walks per nine innings over 21 starts for the Milwaukee
Brewers last season. The 31-year-old has maintained a 3.76 ERA and 1.224 WHIP
in seven seasons at the major league level.

Now that it appears the Liriano deal may be on hold the Pirates are rumored to be interested in Shaun Marcum. What annoys me most is the logic behind these moves.
