It’s been a long time since the Boston Red Sox had a young left handed pitcher that has made an immediate impact in the major leagues. That seems to have change in the short term as lefty Drake Britton, who was summoned from Triple-A Pawtucket recently has made a good first impression coming out of the bullpen for the Red Sox. In only five relief appearances, Britton hasn’t allowed a run and has struck out four batters in six innings. Lefties are only 1 for 11 against him so far this season. Once Morales is activated, the Red Sox will have four left handed relief pitchers in their bullpen which means that Britton could be the one sent down but the team could decide to trade a left hander if need be. Matt Thornton, who was recently acquired from the Chicago White Sox could be a candidate to be traded for a...
