Somewhere in the hearts of all the Yankee players lies the confidence and determination that has been dormant for the past seven years. This is the lowest point for any Yankee team in the Joe Torre Era, the lowest point for any Yankee team since the mid 80s. I guess Yankee fans are spoiled, having seen their team in the playoffs each of the past 11 seasons. This past weekend series against the cross-town rival Mets was a real life Goldilocks. Game one the Yanks couldn't hit, game two the Yanks couldn't pitch, but game three was just right. Could this be the crucial turning point? With Wang, Moose and Pettitte slated to go in a three game series against the first place Red Sox. 10.5 game out of first, it's now or never. Let the sleeping giant awaken!!!
