     As you know I took a week look hiatus from this ball club after the colossal egg they layed against the Red Sox last week at Yankee Stadium.  I was tired of the listless at bats, the swinging for the downs, the lousy defense, and the genuine disinterest.      A little birdie told me that after the Red Sox debacle the Yanks won 6 out of 7 against the Indians and Rangers and the only loss was a 1-0 shutout to Carlos Carrasco (a scrub none-the-less) but still they finished the home stand 6 and 4.   I returned from my self imposed boycott for a classic interleague match up as the Bombers visited Wrigley Field and the Cubs.       It looked like an easy win on paper as the 28 and 40 Cubs started winless, rag armed lefty Doug Davis.  He of the 0-5 record and 5.00 plus era.  The Yankees countered with Freddy Garcia who was shelled during the Red Sox series but beat the Indians in his last start pitching 6.2 innings of 1 run ball.   Needless to say I was pumped up for this one.      Wha...
