Sure, that was just a week ago, but the point is Geovany Soto's shoulder issues aren't "new".
The Cubs are saying he'll be out a few days, but we'll see. I wonder if they've done an MRI.
Now's a good time for the Cubs to be more forthcoming about what's wrong and what these "exercises" are targeting. For every 40 games Soto is out, we should expect the Cubs to lose one game in the standings.

Soto felt some discomfort when he threw to second in the third trying to get Houston's Kaz Matsui, who was safe....Soto said he had the same problem in Spring Training and doesn't expect to miss much time.

"There was a little discomfort in my shoulder. I felt some weakness in it, and I felt I didn't have a shot if somebody else [tried to steal]. I need to keep up my exercises, and we'll see how it is in a couple days."
