Found December 08, 2011 on Fox Sports:
Prized free-agent lefty C.J. Wilson is expected to sign with the Los Angeles Angels, according to major league sources. The sources said that even though the Miami Marlins have offered Wilson six years compared to five by the Angels, the chance for Wilson to play at home is too much for the Rangers ace to pass up. Wilson, a Newport Beach, Calif., native, played at Loyola Marymount University. Last season, the 31-year-old went 16-7 with a 2.94 ERA and helped lead the Rangers to their second consecutive World Series appearance. The converted closer is 31-15 over the last two seasons, his first two as a starter. In the 2011 postseason, however, he was not the dominant ace of the regular season as he went winless in the playoffs, compiling an 0-3 record with a 5.79 ERA over six appearances.

What A Great Day To Be An Angels Fan

By David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior WriterI’m still in shock. I know it’s true, but I still don’t believe. Not only is C.J. Wilson is an Angel, giving the team the best rotation in the American League, Albert Pujols, the greatest position player in this generation (and one of the greatest hitters ever), is an Angel.I still can’t believe I’m typing that.Wednesday night...

MLB AL WEST: Texas Rangers Still Best of West

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim California United States Western Hemisphere (LAAACUSWH, for short), as they will no doubt soon be referred to, managed to achieve something yesterday that no team had been able to achieve for the entirety of the MLB offseason to date. Specifically, they forced the baseball world to talk about something other than the Miami Florida United States...

M’s Draft Reliever, Pujols and Wilson Go To Anaheim

A big morning here in Dallas, and not because anyone really cares about the Rule 5 draft anymore. The Mariners selected LHP Lucas Leutge from the Brewers (shockingly!) with the third pick in the Rule 5, but that’s not what anyone really wants to talk about. No, everyone’s buzzing about the Angels, who signed both Albert Pujols (10 years, $250ish million) and C.J. Wilson...

Wilson would be coming to Anaheim, the Angels manager could have winged his way home unaided. The news arrived like most these days, in our fast-moving, wired-to-know-immediately culture.

Analyzing smaller deals from meetings
