Sam Galanis Contributing Writer With Andrew Miller on the disabled list, Craig Breslow is the lone lefty in the bullpen. But trade rumors have it that the Red Sox are looking to change that. Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports According to a tweet from Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Chicago White Sox reliever Matt Thornton is on the "long Red Sox list of possible bullpen targets." Rosenthal also said that the Atlanta Braves are looking at Thornton but that their interest is "limited." The 36-year-old southpaw currently has an ERA of 3.04 with 20 strikeouts in 26 and 2/3 innings. Left-handed batters are hitting .229 against him. The only qualms the Sox should have about Thornton have to do with his age. Thirty-six is getting up there as far as pitchers go. White Sox Trade Rumors: Potential Suitors For 5 Players at the Deadline

The Chicago White Sox should be in a full rebuilding mode in a couple of weeks. Currently sitting 34-51, Chicago is 13 games back of both the division and nearest wildcard. A team with a weak farm system, it would be wisest for the White Sox to trade off any assets under contract with value for the next couple of years. While players like Adam Dunn may have too much owed or pitchers...

A goal, an assist and a fight. A gino, a helper and a tilly. That’s The Gordie Howe Hat Trick, a rare feat in the game of hockey that honors the gritty and the skilled.
