The Red Sox are off to their best start in years, and when compared to last year’s squad, the 2013 Sox are light years ahead of where they were in the standings. As far as the offense is concerned, however, they’re surprisingly close. It’s the starting pitching that’s been the biggest difference-maker, and it must continue to be if the Sox are as good as they appear to be right now.
