State of the AL East - The Infields

Earlier this winter I took a look at the AL East starting rotations in the wake of erroneous reports that Toronto had landed the rights to Yu Darvish. With no such foolish transactions at hand I wanted to take a moment to consider the state of the AL East infields today.All projected infields based on official club depth charts;#1 New York YankeesProjected Infield – Mark Teixeira, Robinson Cano, Alex Rodriguez, Derek JeterI don’t think I am being unreasonable when I suggest an infield made up of four potential Hall of Famers is pretty darned good. Age remains a concern particularly in the cases of A-Rod and Teixeira who have shown signs of decline with health adding to the concerns about Rodriguez.Utilityman Eduardo Nunez has an OK bat but was a disaster with the glove last year.
