Officers with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Liquor Enforcement cited 61 people Wednesday night outside Citizens Bank Park during an underage drinking crackdown. Investigators said several plainclothes and two uniformed officers patrolled the parking lots surrounding the stadium between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. while the Phillies played the Mets. Police cited 61 people under the drinking age of 21 — including two juveniles younger than 18 — for allegedly possessing or consuming alcohol. Underage drinking is a nationwide problem but just how many people hang out drinking in the parking lot during a Wednesday night game? Authorities said they'll continue the crackdown at various times throughout the season.
