The Sports Bank:
The cliche about a train wreck being something that’s awful to look at, but yet you still can’t turn your head away…well the video that follows is like Amtrak’s entire fleet (I know fleets are for boats, but what is a large group of trains called?) being destroyed. David Freese of the St. Louis Cardinals clearly doesn’t want to be here. You can see just how uncomfortable he is at all times in this video.
The performance of “Show Me St. Louis” Julie Tristan sets back female sports reporters about 30 years. Her actions and speech are so awful- it’s got to be at least partially satirical?
She really isn’t that stupid is she?
She comes off as dumb as a box as rocks as she desperately hits on the World Series MVP. She even brings in a tag-team partner to gush over Freese. They both can’t really be this pathetic and desperate, could they?
And since when is David Freese People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive?” This video is all kinds of wrong on numerous levels.

BEST OF MAXIM
Reporter Julie Tristan is becoming known this across the country, and it’s not for a good reason. The host of KSDK’s “Show Me St. Louis!” did a feature last week on Cardinals third baseman David Freese riding the new Mr. Freeze ride at Six Flags St. Louis. For some reason, Tristan took the opportunity to shamelessly hit on the the ballplayer repeatedly.
Some of her choice...
NOT IN THE CARDS
I’ll admit that 2011 World Series MVP, Cardinals third baseman, David Freese isn’t an ugly-looking dude. But to the Julie Tristan, the host of KSDK’s “Show me St. Louis”, Freese is Brad Pitt, David Beckham and puppies all wrapped in one. Tristan did some fluff segment on a new ride at Six Flags St. Louis called Mr. Freeze.
For some reason, Tristan took her interview...
The St. Louis Cardinals have activated utilityman Allen Craig, one of the stars from their World Series run last fall, from the 15-day disabled list.
The 27-year-old Craig hit three home runs in the Series and four overall in the postseason. He has been rehabbing from right knee surgery with Triple-A Memphis and was activated Tuesday for the start of a three-game series against...
The St. Louis Cardinals lost a huge part of their offense when Albert Pujols signed a 10-year, $240-million deal with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, but that also forced the team to build a more balanced lineup. Now every spot in the order consistently pushes across enough runs to put the Cardinals atop the NL Central as April comes to a close.
But, the margin for error is much...
The St. Louis Cardinals are wasting no time honoring Tony La Russa, announcing they will retire their former manager's No. 10 later this month.
La Russa retired last fall after leading the franchise to a second World Series title in his 16 seasons. He left the game ranked third all time in managerial victories, trailing Connie Mack and John McGraw.
The jersey will be retired...
Back in February I discussed St Louis Cardinals starter Kyle Lohse, and how his ability to command his curve ball might define his season. Lohse just finished April 4-0 for the Cardinals; how is his curve ball working for him?
Through five starts Lohse’s velocity on all his pitches is within .5 MPH of what he was throwing last year, except with his change-up; interestingly that’s...
The St. Louis Cardinals get a key hitter back, but give up their Rule 5 selection in the process.
After last night's offensive outburst, the New Lumber Company moves on to St. Louis to take on Adam Wainwright. Wainwright got off to an awful start this year in his return from Tommy John surgery, but he was pretty excellent in his last start against the Cubs. The Bucs will counter with Charlie Morton, who's already seen the Cardinals once this year. The Cardinals mostly...

Regarding What a Person Could Assume About Adam Wainwright
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Zack Greinke worked six strong innings and Jonathan Lucroy's two-run double capped a three-run sixth as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep.
Greinke (3-1) allowed a run on seven hits to help stop the Brewers' six-game road losing streak. He's 2-1 with a 2.11 ERA in four career games in St. Louis...
(AP) -- The St. Louis Cardinals' Adam Wainwright enjoyed his best outing of the season last week, but that wasn't enough to give him his first win since returning from Tommy John surgery.
The right-hander will get another chance Tuesday night when the Cardinals continue their lengthy stretch against NL Central foes in the opener a three-game series with the visiting Pittsburgh...
Several Florida spring clubs may relocate while another is trying to attract a second tenant. Even though the St. Louis Cardinals are not directly involved, they will feel the impact of any future changes, whether positive or negative.
Adam Wainwright worked seven solid innings for his first win since September 2010, and the St. Louis Cardinals got big nights at the plate from David Freese and Matt Holliday to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-7 on Tuesday.
Freese's sixth home run and third in five games was a tiebreaking, three-run shot off Charlie Morton (1-2) in the fifth. Holliday homered in the sixth off...
