SUBWAY® is celebrating ‘The Boys in the Hall’ and their athlete of the week is Hall of Fame hopeful David Wright of the New York Mets. Wright is a seven time All-Star, two-time Gold Glove Award winner and two-time Silver Slugger Award winner.  He will be the 2013 National League All-Star Game starter at third base and was Friday night’s NL Home Run Derby captain. The 30-year-old Wright is enjoying another stellar season, batting .304 with 13 homers 44 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 90 games. Drafted by the Mets in the first-round of the 2001 amateur draft, Wright has 1,531 hits, including 217 home runs and 862 RBIs over a 9.5-year MLB career. Wright is currently ranked 27th on the all-time third base JAWS (Jaffe WAR Score system) list, which was developed to measure a player’s Hall of Fame worthiness.  He is ranked 5th among active players. Wright holds the Mets record for most career RBIs, doubles, total bases, runs scored, walks, sacrifice flies, times on base, extra base hits, strikeouts and hits.
