Summer Ball Related Stat Lines For Feb. 9

Florida Tech senior catcher, Kevin Villa had an outstanding first game of a DH split with Valdosta State. He went 4 for 5, with 3 doubles, 2 runs scored and 3 rbi's. Kevin spent the summer of 08 with the Woodstock RiverBandits. Randall Thompson (Florida Tech) gave up 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings pitched in the first game. He walked 3 and struck out 5 as well. Thompson went 3-0, with a 0.00 era in 17 innings pitched for Clermont last summer. Sam Palace (Florida Tech) went a combined 3 for 8 with a double and run scored. The senior from Clarkston, MI played for the Thomasville HiToms last summer. Mike Piazza (Florida Tech) was roughed up a bit in the first game of the DH. He earned a no-decision, but gave up 2 earned runs on 9 hits in 6.1 innings pitched. He walked 2 and fanned 2 batters as well. Mike will be playing for the Martinsville Mustangs this summer.
