For being the first time I’ve ever gone through something like free agency — nine years in the league and I’ve never gone through something like that — you kind of look around the league and see how it’s broken down, you want to push toward the things that really excite you. When Terry [Francona] signed – you don’t bring in a guy like this over here if you don’t plan on winning. To have that captain of your ship, that guy who’s a proven guy, who knows the game and manages the game the right way, it was a very easy decision for me, especially on the manager side. That has to be your guy and you have to be with him every day. I think it was a big, big thing with what Cleveland did bringing him over here. – Newly signed Cleveland Indians outfielder Nick Swisher in his introductory press conference on Thursday afternoon. Swisher said that he and his wife wanted to go somewhere where they were wanted and would be loved — that place ended up being Cleveland, Ohio.
