Growing up as a teenager in the 90s, there were two TV shows that were constantly in the loop between 5pm-7pm in syndication. One, Saved by the Bell. Two, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The latter helped to launch the acting career of Will Smith. But let’s be honest, we all watched because Carlton Banks was the funny one. One individual is still watching it, all the time. Seattle Mariners prospect Taijuan Walker is addicted to the show. He watches it more than anything else, and even uses the show’s very memorable theme song as his at bat music. He even tweets about it when he is about to watch it: The fresh prince of bel air is on!!!!! Someone should buy me all 7 seasons!!#favoriteshowever #willsmith — Taijuan Walker (@tai_walker) January 22, 2013 Bouta throw on some fresh prince and chill! — Taijuan Walker (@tai_walker) May 2, 2013 This shouldn’t be too surprising once you read his interview from MLB Prospective and talks about his love of it: “That is true,” he said. “I’m a huge fan of Will Smith. I have all six seasons on my iPad. All I do all day is watch Fresh Prince.” “That is [...]

It's Time For The Seattle Mariners To Get A New Owner

What do some of the most successful teams in any professional sport have in common? Their owners are actively involved and can be seen. For the Seattle Mariners, that is not the case. For whatever reason, Hiroshi Yamauchi has decided not to be involved with the MLB team he owns and instead employs two men to represent him (Howard Lincoln and Chuck Armstrong). At what point of buying...
