US PRESSWIRE It's a general rule of thumb that a team's first baseman is one of the team's best offensive weapons. While in most cases that remains true, the talent is diminishing. Justin Morneau has post-concussion issues that are impossible to judge. Age has caught up with players like Derrek Lee, Jason Giambi, and Todd Helton. And Ryan Howard simply isn't very good. These are my top 10 first basemen going into 2012. I'm sure there will be some disagreement on the choices, but that's what makes sports fun!
