Cubs 3B Stewart has wrist surgery
Chicago Cubs third baseman Ian Stewart has undergone surgery on his left wrist and is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks.
A team spokesman says doctors in Cleveland cleaned up the area and removed a small bone. The wrist will be immobilized for two weeks.

Cubs sign first round pick Albert Almora
The Chicago Cubs have signed their first round draft pick Albert Almora according to Jim Callis of Baseball America. Almora received a $3.9 million bonus from the Cubs. The value for the sixth overall pick is $3.5 million.
