Morales has played in 22 games for the Rockies so far this year and he is 16 for 60 (.267 avg, .669 OPS) with 6 runs scored, 0 homers and 7 RBIs. The Rockies have called up 28-year old righty swinging catcher Matt Pagnozzi to backup Chris Iannetta. Pagnozzi has played in 30 games in AAA-ball so far this year and he is 25 for 91 (.275 avg, .758 OPS) with 17 runs scored, 1 homer and 16 RBIs. He has also played in 21 games in parts of two years in the majors and he is 14 for 42 (.333 avg, .844 OPS) with 5 runs scored, 1 homer and 10 RBIs.
