The first Hurdle: New Rangers hitting instructor must use soft touch as much as he uses soft-toss

There was only one thing worse than watching Alex Rodriguez's attempt at being a gracious winner last night and that was watching Chris Rose interview anybody. But when Alex had issued his last Ric Flair "whoo" impersonation and Rose had tossed out the last awful question - "Hey, Jeet, do you still have the Canyon of Champions parade map programmed in your GPS?" would qualify - it meant the World Series was over and done with. That means the Rangers can once again go about their business. The Rangers, as any debtor should be, were mindful of MLB's desire to not have significant announcements made during the World Series. And so today the Rangers will almost assuredly announce Clint Hurdle as their new hitting instructor.They settled on him Tuesday and extended an offer on Wednesday.
