Bite your tongue Tim, I say this in jest because one of my favorite sites is MLBTR and Tim Dierkes does a wonderful job. But Today he posted about Kenny Rogers being placed on waivers and if he makes it through, he might be a good fit for the Mets with Maine down. From a baseball point of view it makes sense but as a Mets fan I want to see Rogers back in a Mets uniform as much as I want to see Mota.Rogers came to the Mets after a very good year In Oakland, which erased a lackluster stint in the Bronx who had picked him up from the Rangers where his claim to fame was a no hitter. The Mets came out of nowhere in 1999 and it seemed like a magical season, but that was all erased by Kenny Rogers.
