Yes, we all know by now that the Giants are your 2012 World Series champs – Miguel Cabrera struck out looking on the final pitch, Pablo Sandoval won the World Series MVP award, and it’s the Giants’ second World Series title in three years. However, the television ratings for this year’s World Series were, well, not very good.
The average overnight ratings of all four games was an 8.9, which is the second-lowest average of all-time (the 2008 World Series between the Phillies and the Rays, as well as the 2010 World Series between the Giants and the Rangers, generated an average of 8.4, the worst of all-time).
What saved the series from the worst all-time World Series ratings was a 10.6 rating last night, the clinching game.

SF Giants Rumors: 2012 World Series Champions!
I would like to apologize for not being able to post the last couple of days. I went to game 2 of the World Series on Thursday and then watched games 3 and 4 in Los Angeles, so I had no time to update the site. It sure was nice to see all the Giants fans wearing their gear in Dodgers/Angels territory!

The curse of the Triple Crown title
By Ismael Nunez
Miguel Cabrera just won the Baseball Triple Crown: (which means he led the AL) in Home-Runs, RBI, Batting; yet in the 2012 World Series he did not have the same type of production. One Home-Run in Game Four and struck out to end the Series. Yet it’s not the first time a Triple Crown Winner was not also the Most Valuable Player, nor win a championship.

San Francisco Sweeps In Series Supremacy
That was quick. The Giants didn't even seem to break a sweat except for some brief extra inning action in game four and anytime Pablo Sandoval was forced to do light jogging. Speaking of Kung Fu Panda, Sandoval took home the MVP and new Corvette after his three homer game one and .500/.529/1.125 series slasher. Of course the Giants won the World Series. Ryan Vogelsong and the Pitches that Won the Game
You think of the Tigers and first and foremost you think of Justin Verlander, Prince Fielder, and Miguel Cabrera. You think of the Tigers on a day that Verlander isn’t pitching and you think of Fielder and Cabrera. There are other guys on the roster — lots of them! — and some of them are good, but Fielder and Cabrera are the big offensive guns. They’re the players the Tigers...

These San Francisco Giants are relative newcomers to the revolving door of recent World Series winners but they certainly have a handle on how it’s done these days and believe they’ve established...
