While he did make some strides in the strikeout rate, bringing things down to 19.7% from a career 23.5%, and managing to hit 26 bombs, it was a tale of two seasons for the newly-minted Blue Jays 1st basem...

Jays’ Off-Season Shopping Wraps with Vintage Buys

As if managing the day-to-day operations of a baseball club and facing questions about his (lack of) off-season activity aren’t stressful enough, Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos is growing self-conscious about his age as he approaches the big 3-5 this year. Okay, I don’t know that to be true whatsoever, but how else do you explain the sudden stockpiling of greybeards to fill...

We are in the depths of a baseball-less winter but pitchers and catchers will be reporting to camp in less than 30 days. The minor league camp won't start until March but let's start thinking about the lineups for the 2012 season. There is no hurry so we will do this over the next week or so. Today I will look at the catchers. Infielders, outfielders and starting pitchers...
