grow. As described in a new book Odd Men Out by Matt McCarthy, Jenks
was brash, lazy, and a drunk during his time in the Angels farm system.Here is an excerpt, with McCarthy describing Jenks' arrival in Mesa: Mitch froze after his eighth throw to me.
