1. Jason Standridge Standridge went 31st overall in the 1997 draft. He made his big-league debut in 2001 and would notch 127 1/3 innings through 2007 with uninspiring results. Since then, Strandridge has pitched parts of five seasons in Japan, tallying a 3.12 ERA and a 2.27 strikeout-to-walk ratio. They're not quite Colby Lewis numbers, but not far from Ryan Vogelsong. Standridge always featured a lively fastball and a power curveball, though his command wavered. At age 33, Standridge would be one year older than Vogelsong, who reinvented himself despite similar concerns. —R.J. Anderson 2.
