The storybook off-season the new Miami Marlins experienced is historic. A team that had a sweat-ridden sauna for a stadium, pushed around by its landlords, no money and no owner willing to spend it, and an underdog mentality is now history. In one off-season the Miami Marlins reversed their stingy and anticlimactic guise to a big spending  high rolling LMFAO type description of a bankrolled Miami socialite. During the magical 1997 and 2003 seasons, the then Florida Marlins had a nice bunch of athletes. They were void of a true superstar caliber player, but had everyone chipping in. They turned from a no doubt playoff missing team to World Series Champions, all with each tribulation and doubter a team could possibly face. Yet the Marlins took their little guy mentality and proved that every year the hot team wins the World Series. This is evidenced by the number of Wild Card winners these past few years.
