Another Cubs Blog:
Let’s get a few things straight: Alex Rodriguez is a liar. He’s been caught in numerous lies. But that doesn’t justify having lies told about him. And the deeper folks dig in to Selena Roberts’ book, the more it appears as if that’s what happened. Without further ado, here’s a few examples of that type of work:
Jason Whitlock has really been leading the charge. Here’s his KC Star column, and this is the followup he wrote for FOXSports. I don’t agree with everything he says here—in fact, the Sharpton comparison is just not apt, for one. But Whitlock has done an excellent job bringing the issue of Roberts’ credibility to the national stage.
This fellow, a history prof, has done some solid research on Roberts’ work, both on A-Rod and the Duke case, and what he finds Is. Not. Pretty.
Over at THT, Shysterball has a maybe one of the better takes on this case, and steroids in baseball in general. He’s also written about it here and here. He’s also taken issue with Roberts’ acidic tone re: all things A-Rod before.
Speaking of Roberts’ NYT columns on A-Rod, this fellow has a nice history of her apparent A-Rod vendetta.
Finally, Joe Posnanski has also chimed in the pitch-tipping allegation with some interesting numbers.
