If you've been struggling to come up with the perfect gift for the baseball fan in your life, Seattle's Centerfield Sports may have the ideal item available on the auction block: the Seattle Kingdome visitors dugout.

Purchased in 2009 by Centerfield's president Ben Greaby, the dugouts come fully loaded. "One of the end pieces has the helmet holders and bat racks, phone jacks to the bullpen and clubhouse, a section that has a doorway to the clubhouse and two sections that are solid bench," Greaby said.

Available for a mere $7,500, if you're interested it's important to act fast, Greaby said he has an offer from Ripken Design, a company owned by Cal and Billy Ripken.

While the visitor dugouts are being sold in a solid piece, the Greaby has chopped up the home side (offering pieces at a crisp $3,000 a pop) that have apparently been selling well.

"Overall they are in good shape," Greaby said. "They have been stored outside the last four years, so the wood is a little rough. The company that purchased the single section [of the home dugout] sanded the bench and refinished it, and it looks as good as the last game in 1999."

I'd go in on this but I don't think the dugout is going to fit into my apartment, but if you have the space and you've always wanted to own what looks like half a shipping container converted into a no-frills dugout, it's certainly a unique collectible...
