The team scored their first run in the first inning when Miguel Cabrera drove in Austin Jackson on a fielders choice to the shortstop. Cabrera went 0-5 in the game. He did have 1 RBI and he struck out twice. The Tigers got their second run off a Prince Fielder double to left that drove in Cabrera. Detroit scored again in the 2nd when Omar Infante singled to left and drove in Jhonny Peralta. The Tigers final run in the game came off a wild pitch in the 8th that scored Fielder. Detroit beat the Twins and had a great opening day getting their first win of the 2013 season.
