The Untouchables

“Untouchable” just doesn’t mean what it used to. It’s a term that’s thrown around MLB offices every December and July, and placed on certain players with little regard as to exactly what it means.  As a Mets fan, I’ve spent every offseason listening to how their farm system is producing some of the most special players ever to grace a diamond, but we never actually get to see them because they either get traded or fade away like the flashes in the pan they were always intended to be.
