While the past couple years haven’t really allowed me the time to blog as I’d like I can’t let Opening Day go by without saying a few things. I had already started thinking about what about this day and the upcoming season gets me excited. I started to think about that and quickly realized that while I am interested to see how Peavy’s transition to the AL goes, how well this “DH by committee” pans out, Beckham’s switch to second, an overall faster group around the base path, Sergio Santos, etc., etc., etc. I’m really most interested in the fact that The Boys are Back in Town. The sounds and smells, seeing old friends and meeting new ones are the things that have me most excited.
