Max Scherzer struck out nine over seven strong innings and the AL Central leaders won their third straight, snapping Toronto's three-game winning streak. In the makeup of a May 17 rainout, Tigers manager Jim Leyland was ejected in the seventh after a long argument that included a mocking impersonation of first base umpire Ed Rapuano changing his call on a close play.
