Eli's MLB Rumors:
Booth Newspapers is reporting that Tigers pitcher Nate Robertson feels his days as a Tiger are numbered. "The cycle of a player's time in an organization comes and goes, and maybe my time is nearing its end," he said. Robertson is extremely disappointed by his demotion to the bullpen, but he was out pitched by Rick Porcello and Armando Gallaraga, who took the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Robertson would be a great fit for the Padres, but has 17 million dollars remaining on his contract. The Tigers are having serious financial woes and may be forced to dump some of their players with big contracts. You can expect to see Jeremy Bonderman, Dontrelle Willis, Nate Robertson, Carlos Guillen, and Magglio Ordonez on the block if the Tigers do not get off to a good stop.
