It all started when New York Mets’ Eric Young Jr. stepped on Hudson’s ankle as he crossed first base. Tim was covering first base on a routine ground ball hit to Freddie Freeman. This is a big blow for the Braves as they lose a veteran pitcher. He is 7-7 with a 4.08 ERA in 123 innings this season. With the trade deadline a week away, Atlanta will have to find a replacement quick as they already missed out on Matt Garza, who was swept up by the Texas Rangers.
