Huddy being Huddy. Gotta love him. :)
I don't want to talk too much about our current record, because I know people get superstitious, but winning is fun. Really fun. And I really love how well we're doing with the absence of big bats McCann and Freeman and how well our pitching staff is doing even with Jonny's absence.
Now for some fun pictures...
Babycuz Emily is coming around on EO. This was before she saw his Egraph. :)

Have you heard of Evan Gattis yet? If not you will. Also, if not, you haven't been watching baseball. He is only ranked second in the National League in OPS behind, you guessed it, another Brave Justin Upton. Gattis incredible start to the season has made many forget about Brian McCann. You know, the six-time All-Star who has been catching games for the Braves for...
Pitcher Tim Hudson, helped the Atlanta Braves move to the best record in Major League Baseball with the win over the Washington Nationals last night. The Braves are now at 10-1 on the season and off to a red-hot start. No other team in baseball has 10 wins and no other team in baseball has only 1 loss on the season. With the win the Braves move to a 3 game lead in the National...
The Atlanta Braves rolled through their last two series with relative ease, as the team swept both the Florida Marlins and the Washington Nationals in their three games between the teams, leaving Atlanta with an 11-1 record, the best in all of baseball. Although there were certainly some close games mixed in between the latest six, overall Atlanta dominated their NL East foes, outscoring...
If the Braves were hoping to make a statement with the start of their season, they have. If the Braves were hoping to change minds about their chances in the National League East, they did. The Braves wrapped a road trip Sunday with a sweep of the rival Washington Nationals, Atlanta’s third consecutive sweep and ninth straight win. Heading back to Turner Field for a 2-game set...
Tim Hudson pitched seven innings of four-hit ball, Evan Gattis homered, and the Atlanta Braves beat Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals 3-1 Saturday for their eighth straight victory.
Hudson (2-0) allowed one run, walked none and struck out three in improving his lifetime record against Washington to 15-5. Not only did the right-hander outpitch Strasburg, but he also...
Bonus notes from our MLB on Fox broadcast of the Braves-Nationals game on Saturday . . .
Before each of the first two games of this series, Braves rookie catcher Evan Gattis sat quietly at his locker, wearing headphones, staring at his iPad and studying opposing pitchers.
"I look at all the pitchers getting hit," Gattis said, laughing. "I don't want to see ...
After watching a four-run lead slip away in an extra-innings loss to the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, the Washington Nationals were anxious to come back and shut the Braves down on Saturday afternoon. But Tim Hudson, Evan Gattis and an untimely error proved to be too much for the Nationals to rally against in the 3-1 loss.
What we learned today:
Zim isn’t invincible...
(AP) -- Despite being on the brink of their longest winning streak in 13 years, the Atlanta Braves are remaining level-headed.

In 1995 the Atlanta Braves won the World Series behind Greg Maddux, John Smoltz Tom Glavine and Steve Avery. In 2013, its Tim Hudson, Mike Minor, Kris Medlen Paul Maholm and Craig Kimbrel. The 11-1 Atlanta Braves swept the Washington Nationals this weekend in D.C. and outscored the Nats 18-5. Chris Johnson has done a nice job filling in at first base for Freddie Freeman...
At the start of the season, many pundits proclaimed that the Washington Nationals were not only the team to beat in the NL East, but in the entirety of major league baseball, predicting a World Series Championship. Early on in the season, the Atlanta Braves are having a little something to say about those preseason predictions. Atlanta holds a 11-1 overall record and just completed...
