We Got a Guy There:
If you are not aware of Lewis-Clark State College and the Warriors' baseball team, it's about time you begin learning about them. LCSC is located in Lewiston, Idaho, home of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series. The baseball team is the most successful team in NAIA history. Recently, LCSC won its unprecedented 16th NAIA national championship. The Warriors are led by legendary coach Ed Cheff, who has been with the program for the last 32 seasons. Cheff has also managed a summer collegiate team in the Alaskan Baseball League for many years.
The Warriors have racked up over 1,500 wins under Cheff's reign and won all of their national titles under his watch.
You should check out the impressive photo gallery of the Warriors' national championship rings (after clicking the link, scroll down). I'm sure the Web site will be adding another picture in the near future to show off the bling from their 16th title.
Some other interesting facts about the LCSC baseball team:
- Beau Mills was the 13th overall pick by the Cleveland Indians in the 2007 MLB First-Year Player Draft
- The Warriors had a total of eight players drafted in '07
- LCSC has hosted the NAIA World Series since 2000 (also hosted from 1984-91)
