Cincinnati Reds infielder and New Jersey native Todd Frazier decided to honor actor James Gandolfini, who suddenly passed away earlier this week, by changing his at-bat song to the theme of The Sopranos. Gandolfini’s defining role came as the lead character, Tony Soprano, in the hit HBO series, which ran from 1999-2007. Frazier is from Toms River, N.J. (he still lives there) and was a part of the 1998 Toms River team that won the Little League World Series. He also attended Rutgers and, of course, he loved “The Sopranos,” which was set in Jersey. All in all, a pretty cool tribute from a hometown boy. In honor of james gandolfini (tony soprano)who suddenly passed away Illbe using his song at bat during game 2morrow #jerseyboy #rutgers #rip — Todd Frazier (@FlavaFraz21) June 20, 2013 What an icon. He made the best show “The Sopranos” in the world. Rest in peace my friend. #hero — Todd Frazier (@FlavaFraz21) June 20, 2013 [Big League Stew] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
