Tommy Lasorda looked to be having a great time the day before he suffered a mild heart attack.
TMZ posted a video of the ex-Los Angeles Dodgers manager eating and singing his heart out at the Italian restaurant Bamonte’s the evening before suffering a heart attack. Lou Piniella accompanied Lasorda at the restaurant and surprisingly did suffer a heart attack of his own after sitting through Tommy’s version of “Way Marie”!

The Dodgers activated Juan Uribe from the disabled list today, and wait, what's this? The Dodgers super awesome manager has kept him out of the lineup. A sign of things to come? I certainly hope so. In the offseason the Dodgers signed super utility man Jerry Hairston Jr., entering his age-36 season, to a two-year, 6 million contract, the largest contract Hairston has ever signed. So far, it has proven to be a bargain for the Dodgers.

Fans will soon find out how much longer Andre Ethier will be swinging for the Dodgers.
Danny Knobler of CBSSports is reporting via Twitter that the Dodgers are "definitely interested" in a trade for Cubs' right-hander Ryan Dempster.
Knobler notes that the Dodgers were also interested in Dempster two years ago, but that the veteran right-hander didn't want to leave and the Cubs ultimately decided to keep him around. Of course, things could be...

ESPN.com reports that the Dodgers outfielder has agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $85 million that would keep him in Los Angeles through the 2017 season. There's also reportedly a club option for an additional year that would be worth $17.5 million. "I have been instructed that...

The Los Angeles Angels are currently on a 14-4 run, resulting in them picking up five games in the AL West (in just three weeks!) and putting them within spitting distance of the Texas Rangers at the top of the division. Their southern California counterparts, the Los Angeles Dodgers, haven't had to make up ground. They've been in first place all year, and possess the...
