Campana anticipated a deep fly ball and sprinted towards the warning track, but the ball landed about 15 feet in front of him. The misplay resulted in a double for Crawford, but the Giants weren't able to drive him home. Another 'frustrating' outing for Cahill, another loss for D-backs

PHOENIX -- No one is more frustrated in the way Trevor Cahill is pitching than Cahill himself. Like every Diamondback, he wants to be the player to begin the turnaround from a disappointing start, now 4-11.  It did not happen Sunday, when the Dodgers and tormentor-in-chief Adrian Gonzalez left Chase Field with an 8-6 victory and a three-game sweep, and it leaves the D-backs in a...

Diamondbacks topple Giants in 10 innings

Tony Campana's RBI single gave the Diamondbacks a 6-5 victory over the San Francisco Giants in a 10-inning, 4-hour, 10-minute game on Thursday night at AT&T Park. Campana dropped a single into short right field to score Cliff Pennington and give the Diamondbacks their first series victory this season. Change begins: Collmenter enters rotation

PHOENIX -- The overhaul of the Diamondbacks' starting rotation has begun. Josh Collmenter will replace Randall Delgado the next turn through, making his first start since 2012 against the New York Mets on Monday. Bronson Arroyo will go again Tuesday, getting an extra day of rest, and Delgado will move to the bullpen. "Looking at our options, that seems the smartest way to...

Paging Mr. Towers – Please call Triple-A Reno ASAP.

For a moment at least, I for once found myself agreeing with Arizona Diamondbacks’ GM Kevin Towers on something; on the morning radio show on Arizona Sports 98.7 with Doug and Wolf, Towers said of his team’s sluggish start, “We realize it’s April. We don’t want to panic, we don’t want the players to think we’re panicking. But to me, if things don’t get better,...

Trevor Cahill knows he must get better soon

Trevor Cahill isn't stupid. He knows what people are saying about him, even if he swears he rarely reads the sports pages or listens to much sports-talk radio. "When things are going bad," the Diamondbacks right-hander said, "I'm definitely not looking at any of the media stuff. I try to keep my head out of that stuff." And, yes, things are going bad...

Same story as poor pitching leads to loss for D-backs

PHOENIX -- Even reliable Wade Miley could not keep Dodgers nemesis Adrian Gonzalez in the park Saturday, when the Diamondbacks' struggles on both sides of the ball continued. Gonzalez's two-run home run in the third inning gave the Dodgers a 4-0 lead, and it was 5-0 before A.J. Pollock hit the first pinch-hit home run of his career in the fifth, the only run Arizona would...

(Credit : Sports-Kings) Here’s a my list of the Top 5 prospects inside the Arizona Diamondbacks’ organization.  Remember, this is based off my opinion.   5.   RHP - Jose Martinez - 19 years old Jose Martinez was signed on June 29th, 2011. Martinez was not a ‘big name’ on the amateur market, but boy has that changed. He is extremely raw at this point though, which should...
