PLAYERS: RA Dickey
TEAMS: Toronto Blue Jays
R.A Dickey R.A. Dickey surprised me again this past weekend by having another solid outing against the Kansas City Royals as his Toronto Blue Jays won the second of a three game series 4-2. Dickey pitched eight innings, give up seven hits, two earned runs, two walks and struck out six batters. ,The win was hard fought.  In fact, Toronto had t come from behind to get the victory. Jose Reyes went three for four at the plate. The first game of the series was close.  A 3-2 win for the Jays. Adam Lind went one for four at the plate and collected two RBIs. Pitcher Mark Buehrle gave up four hits, no earned runs, a walk, and struck out five batters in seven innings pitched.  ”I thought he (Buehrle) gave us a strong seven innings, ” said Jay’s manager, John Gibbons in the post game press conference. Buehle’s been doing that a lot this season.  Pitching into the late innings of the game. Unfortunately, the Royals shut-out the Jays 5-0 in the rubber match.  ”We couldn’t get anything going,” said Gibbons. J.A, Happ had a rough outing again on  the mound.  In four innings pitched, Happ gave up six hits, three earned runs, a walk, and struck out three batters. I got some news items to pass along. All-Star pitcher, Steve Delabar returned to the Blue Jay’s bullpen this past weekend.  That is good news for Toronto. Pitcher, Dustin McGowan returned to the bullpen this past weekend too. There is more good news for Toronto.  Kyle Drabek has returned to the club after being injured over a year ago.  Drabek was not suppose to return until 2014 as he underwent Tommy John surgery.   Drabek was activated off the disabled list recently and was sent to Triple A Buffalo. Along with Drabek, the Jays have called  up pitchers. Luis Perez, Ricky Romero, and catcher Mike Nickeas. The Buffalo Bisons are going to continue be the  Blue Jays farm club as Toronto extended their relationship with the  Triple A. team through 2016. The Jays continue their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight.
