The Toronto Blue Jays claimed outfielder DeWayne Wise Friday from the Florida Marlins. Wise is preparing to make his way across the border for the third time in his career.
The Marlins signed Wise twice this year, once in January and the other in June. The Fish designated Wise for assignment earlier in the week.
Wise hit .239/.278/.269 for Florida as he tried to fill the outfield hole that was left by Chris Coghlan when he hit the DL.
