A big question among fans when the Marlins dealt Dan Uggla last offseason was why the Marlins moved him to a division rival. President of Baseball Operations Larry Beinfest has never hesitated to make deals with the Braves, Phillies, Nationals or Mets. The organizational philosophy is to get the best return, even if it means seeing a slugger like Uggla 18 times a year for the next five years.
