The resurgence of Travis Snider continued tonight, as the Blue Jays outfielder-of-the-future showed the type of impact bat that he possesses, jump-starting the bluebirds offense with a bang early against the Mariners en route to a 11-6 rout.
Whether you’re on the side that agreed with demotion to AAA earlier in the season, or think that the 23-year old would have worked out of it on his own (as he did in the past), I think one thing everyone can agree on is that regardless of the way that Snider got to this point of the season, we’d like him to keep at it.
Snider went 2-for-4 on the night with 5 RBIs, including a big 3-run home run in the 4th inning off reliever Jamey Wright that broke the game open, staking the Jays to a 8-2 lead. The outfielder has played both left field and centre since returning in order to give the Blue Jays a look at what flexibility they might be able to afford with a future lineup, but it’s really been Snider’s bat that’s going ...
