Veteran left handed outfielder Trot Nixon told the Times-Picayunne earlier this month, that he was spending his time in AAA rehabbing from a hernia operation to get his form back. Nixon once the emotional leader of the "Boston Dirt Dogs" the scrappy, hard nosed group of Red Soxs that won the 2004 World Championship, desires to return to post season play. Nixon was a huge contributor in both 2003 and 2004 to Boston's post season run. He's know for his hustle, determination and ability to get clutch hits which in Boston became infectious in the clubhouse. He had hoped he would spend his time in the minors proving that he could contribute to this club down the stretch and help them get into the playoffs.
