After he underwent Tommy John surgery last year, the Baltimore Orioles want to make sure they are as cautious as possible with Tsuyoshi Wada.  Wada is not expected to return from the injury until May or June of this year.  This is not due to a setback or delay in his rehab.  It's simply a precautionary decision. The Orioles pitching coach, Rick Adair said on WBAL radio yesterday that Wada would not be ready to pitch in the Majors until Mar or June.  This could mean the club will have him return to the minors initially. #orioles pitching coach Rick Adair on WBAL Radio says Tsuyoshi Wada not expected to be ready to pitch in majors till May or June. — Roch Kubatko (@masnRoch) January 31, 2013 More on the Orioles: Kyle Lohse on the radar? Roch Kubatko of MASN confirmed the news was not a result of any setback. @purplephenom Nothing wrong. Just not going to rush him to the majors. This could all change, of course. Just current projection — Roch Kubatko (@masnRoch) February 1, 2013 The Orioles signed Wada to a two-year deal worth $8.15 million.  Yet, Wada has not made a single pitch in the Majors.  He did start one game for the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk before suffering the injury.  In Japan, Wada was 57-36 with a 2.88 ERA in five seasons. Baltimore is excited to get Wada back and into their starting rotation.  The club wants to see what he can do and if he can help improve the starting pitching staff.  The Orioles made it to the post season without Wada last year, so if he can come back healthy, the hope is he will help the team repeat.
